PANJIM: The Panjim Principal District and Sessions Court has rejected the bail application filed by accused Sukhwinder Singh in the Sonali Phogat death case. The order in another bail application filed by Singh in narcotics matter has been reserved and will be pronounced on March 1.
It may be recalled that accused Sukhwinder Singh had applied for bail before the Panjim Principal District and Sessions Court in the Sonali Phogat death case of August 2022 after the matter was transferred to this court. Brother of Sonali Phogat had filed an intervention application in the bail matter asking for rejection.
BJP leader Sonali Phogat suspiciously died on August 23, 2022 at the Grand Leone Resort. She was seen with Sukhwinder Singh and Sudhir Pal Sanghva on August 22. After the brother of Sonali Phogat filed a complaint before the Goa Police, the Singh and Sanghwa were arrested.
