Adv Aires argued that the MLA has taken the police and even the court for a ride for quite a long time. The Public Prosecutor has prayed to the court that the police have been following the due process and hence there is no need for contempt proceedings.
Adv Aires Rodrigues has moved an application in the court that the police should file an FIR against Pacheco as he has been evading arrest, which is a contempt of Court.
Adv Rodrigues pointed out that neither Mickky’s family nor the Legislature Secretary has filed a missing complaint of the MLA. Citing a judgement of Allahabad High Court, he said that evading arrest is contempt of court.
Further arguments of Adv Rodrigues’ petition will be heard next Monday.
