COVID-19: 736 patients get cured, eight succumb

PANJIM: A record 736 patients of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were declared cured on Tuesday, even as eight patients succumbed to the deadly virus. 

The day also saw more 590 people getting infected. With highest single day recoveries of 736 patients, the total count stood at 23,462 mark.

Since January 29, Goa has reported 29, 343 confirmed coronavirus cases of which 5,513 are active cases. Total deaths reported are 368.

Of the total eight deceased, five were admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital, two in ESI-Margao Hospital and one at Chicalim Public Health Center. 

As per the bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), namely are 69-year-old from St Inez-Panjim, 69-year-old from Vasco, 60-year-old from Chandor, 83-year-old from St Estevem, 32-year-old from Kankavli-Sindhudurg, 59-year-old from St Inez-Panjim, 87-year-old from Valpoi and 79-year-old from Margao.
