PANJIM: Thirteen deaths and 310 COVID cases were reported by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) on Wednesday.
The daily positivity rate is now at 11.98% with 2588 new samples being tested.

428 persons have recovered within 24 hours of Wednesday evening with the recovery rate now at 95.71%.
268 persons were placed under home isolation, whereas 42 patients were hospitalised and 34 persons were discharged from hospitals
Of the 13 deaths reported between Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 took place at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), 1 at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) and 1 at a private hospital in North Goa (Healthway Hospital).
Only one of the 13 deceased persons had no comorbid conditions, as per DHS.
Amongst the 13 deceased persons, the youngest to succumb to the infection was a 32-year-old male from Dharbandora. The remaining 12 deceased persons were all above the age of 49 years.
The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 2960, 40 short of the 3,000 mark.
The total number of active cases has dropped down to 4,044.
Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ponda with 402 cases is still the health centre with the highest number of active cases, while Urban Health Centre (UHC) Margao (249); UHC Panjim (236) and PHC Chimbel (233) are the only other health centre with above 200 active cases.
VACCINATION
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced on Wednesday that 15,911 beneficiaries were vaccinated on the fourth day of Tika Utsav 3.0 that is underway for all citizens above 18 years of age. With this, 4,77,233 beneficiaries in Goa have been partially vaccinated (first dose only) since the beginning of the vaccination drive; 99,817 beneficiaries have been fully vaccinated (both first and second dose).
