SANGUEM: The counting to the 10 wards of Sanguem Municipal Council will be held at the Government Sports Complex, Khairikanttem, here, on Monday.
The counting will be held in two rounds and around 55 to 60 staff will be deputed for the purpose, informed Returning Officer Manoj Korgaonkar.
Each table will be manned by three staff members, which will include one supervisor, one peon and an assistant supervisor. The counting will begin sharp at 8 am with counting of Ward No 1 to 5 to be taken up in the first round.
Given the widespread number of COVID cases, either the candidate or his election agent will be permitted inside the counting hall, informed Korgaonkar.
Appropriate police force will also be stationed outside the counting hall to avoid any unforeseen circumstance from taking place and to make the supporters follow appropriate social distancing measures.
