COVID -ve certificate mandatory for travellers: Airport Director

VASCO: The Dabolim International Airport in an order on Tuesday stated that the passengers arriving to Goa from other States or abroad will have to compulsory produce a COVID-19 negative certificate at the airport. 

Airports Authority of India Director of International Airport Dabolim Gagan Malik stated, “Presenting COVID negative certificate has been made mandatory for the passengers, who are non-residents of Goa.” 

“The passengers have to get themselves tested for COVID-19 and with the negative certificate have to arrive in the State,” stated Director Malik.

He further stated that the State government is not conducting testing at the airport.   

“However, the residents of Goa and people travelling for work purpose are the only two categories that won’t be asked for the certificate,” Malik informed.

The people, who have travelled to Goa for work-related purpose will have to produce proof for the same.

This was before the order was ammended to include Goans too.
