VASCO: Three frontline warriors who served people in testing time of COVID pandemic were felicitated by the Chicalim Sub District Hospital recently. Dr Rajendra Borkar, Health Officer of Chicalim sub district hospital felicitated Dr Vivek Pillai, Brother Daniel and Vijay Kudalkar, in the presence of the Chicalim hospital staff. Dr Pillai took care of all the OPDs in Mangor simultaneously combating the staff shortage issue.
A senior citizen aged Kudalkar (63), a retired Goa Shipyard staff, helped hospital staff in registration of patients. Despite recovering after testing positive he is continuing to help the hospital without any payment.
Brother Daniel allowed a new ambulance from their charitable organisation to Chicalim hospital without charging. This ambulance was returned to the organisation after the hospital’s ambulance was made functional.
