PANJIM: The “eagles” have landed. The crack narco cops are a well-trained, no-nonsense unit created only to go after and eradicate drug cartels, not just in Telangana but anywhere else in the country, whose operations impact the southern State.
For close to a month they have zeroed in on drug dealers, peddlers, and supplies after the detention and subsequent arrest of Pritesh Narayan Borkar. Occupation: Drug Supplier, Resident of 807 Anthony Prais Waddo, Anjuna.

The Hyderabad Police, in spite of tense exchanges with the Goa Police, which alleged that the team has exceeded its brief and not kept Goa Police informed, are in Goa now.
The DGP of Goa, this time, has confirmed their resend but said ‘it’s a routine procedure’.
However, Herald has learnt that the “visit” is anything but routine. It’s a serious crackdown intended in smoking out drug dealers, peddlers, and assorted drug gang leaders and affect arrests and take them to Hyderabad in transfer warrants.
According to Herald’s ground sources in Anjuna, the Narco cops of Hyderabad have generated so much heat that sections of the drug lobby are on the run or scurrying to go into hiding. Several high profile nightlife stakeholders who dabble in trance and rave parties are known to have “cleared out” of the scene.
As one anti-sound pollution activist said, “They are on the run because they know when the time comes; they will have no one to call in high places to bail them out.”
Meanwhile, Edwin Nunes (name spelled as Edwin Nunis in the press release) in his anticipatory bail application has prayed that he was in police custody while the cartel case was initially being investigated and that he has no connection or involvement in the said case.
