PONDA: After O Heraldo ran a story on the pitiable condition of the Vadakade Usgao Circle road on June 28, the Usgao Ganjem Panchayat took immediately swung into action and repaired the road. Sarpanch Narendra Gaonkar personally supervised the workers .
The road was full of huge craters which posed a risk to motorists and two wheeler riders, since one cannot judge the depth when they are filled with water.
Locals thanked O Heraldo for highlighting the issue with photos. The locals of Usgao Ganjem Village Panchayat had expressed concern over the huge craters at Vadakade Usgao Junction Circle stating that they were life threatening.
Usgao Circle at Vadakade is the prime junction on the road leading to Bicholim, Valpoi, Ponda as well as towards Dharbandora. Thousands of commuters beside pedestrian also move through this busy junction.
