‘Craters’ resurface on KTC terminus exit road in Panjim

The stretch was recently repaired by the Public Works Department

PANJIM: Days after O Heraldo highlighted the potholes at the exit point of the Kadamba Transport Corporation bus terminus at Panjim, the stretch was immediately repaired by the PWD, much to commuters’ joy. However, commuters’ joy was short-lived, as exactly a week later, they were shocked to find that potholes had resurfaced on the exit road due to the poor quality of work.

The PWD had repaired the road but within a few showers, the road was back to its original condition. Daily commuters said that this is an annual story during monsoon.

On July 1, the Panjim bus terminus exit road was repaired by PWD by filling the potholes with hot mix. This was done to ease the traffic for the buses to exit and also for vehicular traffic movement. But within a week, the potholes resurfaced following heavy downpour.

Every year during the rain, a sizable patch of potholes form next to the exit point of the bus terminus, compelling the passengers to undergo an extremely bumpy ride.
