Credit card fraud: Cops seek CCTV footage

PANJIM: The Panjim police have sought documentary details and CCTV footage from a bank after unknown culprits dishonestly transferred Rs 1.62 lakh approximately using a stolen credit card.

PANJIM: The Panjim police have sought documentary details and CCTV footage from a bank after unknown culprits dishonestly transferred Rs 1.62 lakh approximately using a stolen credit card. 
Dilip Madhavdas Bhatia, a resident of Betim lodged a complaint with Panjim police station alleging that on July 15 at M/s Janata Auto Sales, Opposite Gujarat Lodge, unknown culprits used his International Visa Credit card of Corporation Bank and transferred the huge cash amount to another bank account. 
The police said they have begun an investigation into the complaint and sought papers, CCTV footage and other details from the bank. 
In another case, the police have registered a case of hit and run against a mini bus driver Hanumant Eshwar Bavchi. According to the complaint filed by the State, Bavchi knocked down a cyclist Shardabai Lamani on the Miramar-Dona Paula road and fled.
