Panjim: Crime Branch conducted a raid in Mapusa, resulting in the arrest of Najib Sheikh Hasan, a 31-year-old native of Karnataka.
Hasan was found to be in alleged illegal possession of 13.523 grams of amphetamine, a wallet containing Rs. 1,000 in cash, and a mobile phone with a total estimated value of Rs. 1.35 lakh.
The operation was carried out as part of the ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to determine the source and distribution network of the seized narcotics.
