PANJIM: Crime Branch along with Hyderabad police arrested four persons accused of running bogus call centres and cheating people.
Crime branch team led by Police Inspector Nathan Almeida assisted Hyderabad Cyber Crime police in successfully nabbing four accused persons namely Kafil Ahmed, Mohd Jamal, Mohammed Asif and Chirag Sohanlal natives of New Delhi, from Hotel Meteden la Oasis in Anjuna.
They are involved in a cyber crime case registered in Hyderabad under various sections of Information Technology Act, 2008. The accused are allegedly involved in crime of online fraud, stealing of data, cheating and running bogus call centres in Hyderabad. They were allegedly selling customer details to unauthorised people.
Further, accused persons have been taken into custody by Hyderabad police on transit remand.
