Ponda: Against the backdrop of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines issued to the public such as maintaining social distancing etc, there was a rush at the Ponda market on the eve of the Diwali festival.
The police were also busy busy managing the
increased traffic. The presence of large crowds at the shops and roadside vendors however provided relief to the shopkeepers who were hit by the pandemic.
