PANJIM: Chief Secretary RK Srivastava has been granted another three months extension in service. The order issued by the Additional Secretary (Personnel) Yatindra Maralkar states, that the Central government and the Government of Goa is pleased to grant an extension in service to Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, as chief secretary, for a period of three months up December 31, 2016.
Sources in the government said the decision for
his extension was taken in view of the BRICS summit next month, besides the forthcoming election.
The government is of the view that a new chief secretary will need time to understand the urgency of works undertaken by the government ahead of the elections.
