Anger, fury is being whipped up to anger the people against me
1 The Church as an institution should facilitate dialogue and discussion on what Goans want for Goa and not only repeat what the State does not want. I expect it (the Church) to mediate to facilitate dialogue to ensure planned development of Goa.
2 It feels bad when one of its heavily politicised organs opts for confrontation. Church should tell us what they want. We have been constantly hearing what they don’t want. We now want to know what they want.
3 The meeting which is being held is by an organisation called Goencho Awaaz, who are claiming to be supported by the Church. Now the reason for holding the meeting is to expose the list of politicians who have converted their lands illegally under RP 2021, I am eager to know the list of politicians who have done such conversions.
4 I will act if the list of politicians who have illegally converted their lands under RP 2021 is given on April 27. But right to hold the meeting is a democratic right. We can act on the list once exposed at the meeting. My doors are always open for dialogue and discussion but it has to be within the rules of law, we have to work within the framework of the guidelines.
5 I may be targeted because I have not succumbed to other pressures. Hence they are trying to bring a mob and sound bad words, (abuse) but if I change sides, the agitation is over, and that is a fact.
6 However the crux of the agitation is not and cannot be politics as it is a technical matter. But, indulgence of politicians and politics makes us believe that this is directly related to the existence of the government and it also clear that Vijai Sardesai is the pivot of the government. The government by and large depends on me.
7 They know I won’t change, hence all this is to pressurise me. Anger, fury is being whipped up to anger the people and all that anger may be directed against me but which technically I am not bound or qualified to answer.

Different plans for same parcel of land fraud on the people
1 CSJP urges people to support the movement which is raising issue about the adverse effects due to PDAs.
2 Goa’s identity which is reflected in its diverse and unique social and economic lifestyle of its village people is now being systematically destroyed by planning models being imposed by the government by exploiting the archaic and obsolete laws like the Goa Town and Country Planning Act, 1974 for this purpose.
3 The parallel and arbitrary planning processes of having a Regional Plan, Outline Development Plan, Village Development Plan and a District Development Plan under the parallel planning laws in place, which are carried out independently of each other on the very same parcel of natural resource, is nothing short of a fraud on the people as there is no transparency and accountability in such planning processes.
4 The Goa government is imposing the PDAs and preparing the Outline Development Plans for the same villages without consulting the panchayats and without giving consideration to the village development plans as approved by the Gram Sabhas.
5 The mere attempts of the government to falsely drag in the Archbishop’s office to confuse and misguide the people will not help to resolve the crisis.
6 We are aware that a video is being circulated on social media, which seeks to question the Church and its position on some issues in the State. It is highly unfortunate that vested interests are seeking to discredit the Church by an anonymous video clip.
7 A true Goemkar will not be misled and misguided by such malicious attempts to muzzle the voice that has always stood for the rights of all people.
