CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim MLA Clafasio Dias was discharged from the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim on Saturday after his successful fight against COVID-19.
It may be recalled that Dias, who contracted the infection, was admitted to the COVID Hospital at Margao in June. The MLA, his wife, son and sister also tested positive. However, his family members were discharged earlier.
However, when the legislator’s health condition deteriorated, he was shifted to ICU at COVID Hospital, Margao.
Last week, his test report came negative and following this he was shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim for further treatment.
At GMC, he tested positive again, which created confusion and doubts among the people.
On Saturday, Dias was discharged from GMC as his test reports confirmed that he has recovered from COVID and other sickness.
Dias has been advised rest and against meeting any one for next 15 days.
