CURCHOREM: “Goenchim Festam” from Quepem by Raul Pereira won the first prize in traditional category at Carnival 2018 float parade organized by Centro Social Anjo Custodio (CSAC) in association with Goa Tourism and Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC).
“Goemchim Ramponkar” and “Addlem Goem” bagged the second and third prizes, respectively; while in Club/Institutional category, “Mermaid” and “Follow Rules of Life” bagged the first and second prizes, respectively and ‘Red Devils’ got the third prize.
In the Family category “Joker Family” bagged the first prize and ‘Pollution & Solution’ and ‘Goencho Tevoi’ won the second and third prizes, respectively and in Clown category ‘Goan Kumbhar’, ‘Saint’ and ‘Military’ begged the first, second and third prizes, respectively.
In fun/junk category ‘Rusty Relics’ won first prize, ‘Dalmation Car’ second prize and ‘Vintage Car’ got the third prize.
Sanvordem MLA Deepak Pauskar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
