CURCHOREM: The Curchorem police arrested a driver Sanju Kanoji (25) from Gonvallwada, Kakoda – Curchorem for possessing 93 grams of ganja approximately worth Rs 18,600. According to investigating Officer PSI Viju Dessai, the police received information that Sanju was at Chirkonali near the irrigation canal with narcotic drugs. Then immediately a police team consisting of PSI Girendra, Constables Avinash Naik, Vishal Bhuimbar, Shrikant Laad, Dhiraj Naik and Shushant Narvekar rushed to the site, nabbed the accused and recovered ganja which was in his possession. Sanju was arrested under Section 20(b)(iii)(A) of NDPS Act. The accused was produced in the local court which remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.
