QUEPEM: In view of rising Covid cases, the fire station from Curchorem department sanitised the Curchorem market on Tuesday. The whole market has called for one day lockdown in order to sanitise the market area.
Earlier, Curchorem Congress block committe headed by President Pushkal Sawant had submitted a memorandum to Curchorem Cacora Municipality chairperson Balkrishan Hodarkar requesting for one day lockdown to sanitise the market area.
“This step is taken as precautionary measure for Curchorem market area as there is panic situation in Curchorem ad also the cases rising all over the state”. Says Pushkal Sawant, Presient of Curchorem Congress block committe
While Rosh Pereira, the president of Market Association said,
“Since July we were trying our best to control this situation but somehow it got delayed due to lack of support. But today sanitisation was possible with the support of all Associations and vendors.
