Curchorem MLA confident of securing third consecutive term

CURCHOREM: Power Minister and local MLA Nilesh Cabral said he was confident of winning the Curchorem seat for the third consecutive term by a margin of over 10,000 votes.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the underground cabling network of 11KV IDC feeder at Cacora-Curchorem. 

He said the underground cabling work estimated at Rs15.57 crore will solve the voltage fluctuation issues faced by the residents and the units in the industrial estate. 

Cabral said, “After completing the underground cabling the residents will get uninterrupted power supply.”

 The underground cabling work in the Curchorem market and surrounding areas has been completed.”

Cabral also laid the foundation stone for the underground cabling network of 11KV feeder at Hoddar-Curchorem estimated to cost Rs19.22 crore.

Cabral said he could not bring more industries in the constituency due to lack of suitable land. 

“I have spoken to many private land owners and if they agree I will try to bring environmental friendly industries to generate employment for the youth,” he added.
