PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has dismissed the bail plea of murder accused Abdul Karim Shaikh, who along with three others has been charged with allegedly killing a man and disposing of the body in the forests on the Goa-Karnataka border in May this year.
This is the third time that his bail application has been dismissed as the earlier two pleas were rejected by the Additional Sessions Court, Margao.
Suresh Kumar, Abdul Karim Shaikh, Pankaj Pawar and Kalpana Bassu were arrested for killing Basauraj Bassu, a casual labourer and husband of Kalpana. The victim and the woman also have two minor children whose statements were also recorded by the police.
The woman had confessed to the police that after a fight with her husband, she strangulated him to death at their residence at Curchorem.
