VASCO: A 39-year-old woman from Curchorem died in a road accident after her car rammed into a trailer parked along the roadside along the Verna highway on Thursday.
Two other car occupants, who were injured in the accident, were admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
According to Verna Police, Dixa Naik from Cacora-Curchorem was proceeding from Panjim to Margao in a car along with two others at around 4 am. However, she lost control over the vehicle and dashed against the parked trailer. The impact was such that she died on the spot.
After conducting the post-mortem, the body was handed over to her husband for final rites. Police are investigating.
