Curfew extended till May 31

PANJIM: With the test positivity rate still high, the State government on Friday extended the ongoing State curfew in Goa by another eight days up to May 31. The ongoing 15-day State curfew was to end on May 23. 

Announcing this at a press conference, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that all the restrictions in force since May 9 will now continue till May 31 in a strict manner.

All shops selling grocery items will remain open from 7 am to 1 pm while, restaurants and hotels will be allowed to keep the takeway kitchen open from 7 am to 7 pm during the curfew period.

However, they are no restrictions on pharmacies and other medical facilities in the State which will remain open throughout the day.
