Curlie’s restaurant demolition hearing adjourned to Sept 26

The GCZMA submitted that the restaurant had never produced any substantive piece of evidence, documentary or otherwise, to establish her contention that the unauthorised structure standing on the Suit Property has been in existence since prior to 1991.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Bench of Justices A S Bopanna and P Sri Narasimha on Friday adjourned till September 26, Goa’s Curlie’s Restaurant plea against the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order and extended its interim stay against the demolition, partially already done, till the next date of hearing.

The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has filed its affidavit in the top court opposing the plea of the restaurant owner Lynette Nunes, asserting that she had violated the Coastal Regulation Zone norms.

The GCZMA submitted that the restaurant had never produced any substantive piece of evidence, documentary or otherwise, to establish her contention that the unauthorised structure standing on the Suit Property has been in existence since prior to 1991.
