GSPCB had issued an order on February 15 to Curlies to shut operations in the absence the board’s permissions. Curlies had challenged the GSPCB order at the High Court of Bombay at Goa, but this was dismissed on Tuesday. Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni appeared on behalf of the State.
GSPCB has sent the show cause notice to Curlies on November 15, 2015 and the shack owners had replied in December.
GSPCB officials said the shack will be officially sealed by them with the help of other government authorities and the police. The shack is owned by former Anjuna panch Edwin Nunes.
