PONDA: ‘Prashasan Tumcha Dari’ (Administration at Your Doorstep) programme organised on Saturday at Curti-Khandepar failed to live up to the expectation of the villagers as the designated government officials didn’t turned up to hear their grievances.
It was an utter disappointment to the villagers as they have come up with various problems to find solutions to them.
The government officials were expected to reach at 10 am, at the panchayat premises, but till 1.30 pm there was no sign of the officials. Villagers, who were already present before the stipulated time, were disappointed as there was no official correspondence about their absence or presence.
Meanwhile, after giving officials the charge of four to five panchayats, the question arose from the gathered public that how the officials would be able to reach in time and how much time would he be able to give to the people. The officials were to visit the panchayats from 10 am to 1 pm. So in how many panchayats will they meet the people in these three hours?
Also, there was a feeling of displeasure that the public had been cheated because the officials did not turn up.
