PONDA: Curti locals on Tuesday stopped the alleged illegal hill cutting activity near the high tension tower and demanded that the metal shed be demolished at Deepanagar.
Sandeep Parkar, a resident, who complained to the Flying Squad against the illegal hill cutting activity said, “Taking cognisance of the complaint, the Flying Squad arrived and conducted the panchanama. Heavy earthmoving machinery was used to illegally cut the hill at electricity tower and there was no permission from authorities.”
“An illegal metal shed has been constructed below high tension lines, which is in operation. This illegal construction poses risk to life and property and so the deputy collector and the concerned officials should act swiftly,” Parkar demanded.
