Curti locals urge PWD to repair 3-mt deep pothole

PONDA: Curti locals on Tuesday demanded with the PWD to repair the Koparwada road, which has become a death trap to the commuters.

According to the locals, a huge three-metre deep and 1.5- metre wide pothole is developed on the road near the Curti bridge and in case any commuter, pedestrian falls in this pothole it is sure to claim life. The caved in portion of pothole is three metres deep. As the road caved in and mud portion is washed away, the locals have put branches of trees into the pothole to alert the passersby and vehicle owners.

A local Ranganath Gavde said, “A memorandum with 70 signatures of the locals has been submit to the concerned PWD office past three weeks ago. If the caved in portion of road is not repaired immediately than it could claim life of the commuters. Before it is too late, Gavde urged the PWD to take action and repair the road.”
