Curti panch accused of issuing NOC

Curti-Khandepar Sarpanch Suraj Naik has lodged a complaint with Ponda BDO against former sarpanch and present Panch Hussain Mulla for illegally issuing an NOC to a kiosk at Curti for an electricity connection.
The complainant has stated that the kiosk was supposed to be demolished as per the High Court order in June this year.
However, Hussain Mulla allegedly issued a no-objection certificate illegally to the occupant. The complaint further stated that the NOC was issued when Suraj Naik was the sarpanch, while Mulla had resigned in February this year.
According to reports, the petitioner had approached the court against the illegal kiosk, when he noticed that electricity connection was released to the kiosk. He questioned the panchayat on how electricity connection was released when it is to be demolished.
However, when the panchayat verified documents at the Electricity Department in Curti, it was revealed that Mulla had illegally issued the NOC on behalf of the panchayat.
Incidentally, panchayat members, including Mulla, have moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Suraj Naik, which is scheduled on Wednesday.
