MARGAO: M/S Ira Exotica Pvt Ltd has moved the High Court over the Town and Country Planning (TCP) department’s recent decision to revoke the permission for its 85-room hotel project in Vetnem Curtorim.
The Curtorim panchayat, which had issued a show-cause notice to the project asking why the construction license should be not be revoked, has been made party to the case, which will come up for admission on October 13.
Incidentally, the panchayat was to take a decision soon on revoking the construction license, given that it had only granted the license after the TCP had issued technical clearance for the project.
It maybe recalled that the TCP had revoked the clearance for the hotel project as the road serving the plot did not have the required eight-metre width. The TCP order also quoted the Public Works Department’s position that the development of the eight-meter wide road is not feasible at this stage and that the road widening would not take place in the near future.
