MARGAO: An inspection of a pipes warehouse at Ramnagari-Curtorim was conducted after some locals complained about the unauthorised occupation. The panchayat has been urged to remove the warehousing facility.
Curtorim sarpanch Milagres Rodrigues, panch Simon Barretto, and other villagers on Wednesday inspected the facility along with the Panchayat Secretary. The warehouse in an open land at Ramnagari is occupied and used as a warehouse by a private company. Simon Barretto said the structure was given provisional NOC for operation in 2018 which has now expired.
“They have not taken the final NOC. There is a fear that the combustible matter stored in the warehouse can potentially cause problems in the locality,” he said.
