VALPOI: People of Sattari are upset over shortage of staff at the State Bank of India, Valpoi branch for the past many months.
People complain that there was only one cashier at the counter and thus people had to spend hours waiting in queues at the bank.
They also complain that the ATM has not been working and hence they have to face inconvenience. They have demanded immediate posting of more staff at the Valpoi branch.
It takes almost two hours to deposit cheques. We are facing this problem every day in this branch. The senior citizens have stands in queue for hours. It’s really a disgustin,” a local Sudesh Gaonkar said.
