CUNCOLIM: The State government’s decision to allow fishing business without any limitations and boundaries has increased the risk to turn Cutbona Fishing Jetty and Cuncolim Industrial Estate into a coronavirus hotspot.
Coronavirus suspect cases at Cutbona jetty has kept Primary Health Centre staff on their toes since last many days. Every day, PHC Balli had sent many suspect persons to government quarantine centre at Margao.
From last week, many suspected truck drivers and workers were caught and sent to the quarantine centre. The locals are complaining that fishing trucks from Karnataka and Kerala are entering the State and many trucks are also going out of the State.
