VASCO: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Omvir Bishnoi said that regular crimes like robberies would decline in future as cyber crime is trending and stressed the need on creating awareness on the cyber crime amongst the people especially youth.
Bishnoi who was at Mormugao to inaugurate the newly built stairs and ramp at the Harbour Coastal Police Station said that both, the school and college students and even IITians along with police can approach the public and educate them about the cyber crime being committed through internet.
Cyber crime is trending now and the traditional crimes will become negligible in days to come, he said urging the younger generation to educate themselves in elementary cyber education.
The DIG also appealed to all not to share their password but instead to have encrypted password and not to save password in the mobile phone and not to share their sensitive information.
Bishnoi appealed to the people not to fall prey to cyber thugs or fraudsters who, he said will give you an example of easy way to earn money.
