Vardah has further weakened into a cyclonic circulation and has moved further away from the Indian coast. A trough is also seen running from this system along the West Coast. With this, light rain at isolated places will continue over parts of Goa.
“State will witness light to moderate rains at few places. The sky conditions will remain cloudy. This low pressure area will not cause any severe weather conditions in Goa and so, no weather warning is been issued,” IMD Goa observatory director ML Sahu said.
“Hence, there is no need of any panicking in any field of activity in the state,” he stated.
IMD has predicted light to moderate rain/thundershowers at a few places for next two days. Also, the weather is most likely to be dry over Goa during subsequent three days.
The weather remained cloudy and dry the entire day on Wednesday, with fog being witnessed at several places. IMD has predicted further drop in day temperature for the day, which is already five degree Celsius below normal. The maximum temperature recorded was 27.6 degree Celsius.
The night temperature has increased since Tuesday. It is above normal and stood at 22 degree Celsius.
