MARGAO: Two LPG cylinders exploded in a storeroom attached to the house under construction at Comba, Margao on Wednesday. However, no casualty was reported.
The incident occurred late evening, informed Fire and Emergency Services, Margao. The storeroom was attached to the house under construction, wherein five cylinders were kept inside by the owners. Suddenly, a massive blast of two cylinders was heard by the neighbours, who immediately contacted the Margao Fire station. The firemen doused the fire.
The cause of the blast is not yet ascertained. However, several items including few old cupboards got damaged. The family of the owner was residing at Raia, as the house is under construction. On receiving the news of the incident owner and the police rushed to the site. Later, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat also visited the site and enquired about the incident.
