Czech man held travelling with GPS device

PANJIM: The Mopa Airport Police have filed an FIR against a Czech Republic national for allegedly trying to travel with a banned Satellite GPS device at Manohar International Airport, Mopa.

According to police, the alleged accused identified as Martin Polesny, 54, from Czech Republic was about to travel to Doha from Manohar International Airport when a GPS GARMIN device-EDGE 540 was detected in his baggage.

When asked, the alleged accused could not produce any licence or permission from the competent authority. The Mopa Airport Police have registered the FIR against the accused and the case is being investigated by PSI Viraj Sawant.
