TIVIM: Dacoits looted gold and cash, all worth Rs 4.3 lakh, at knife point when they ambushed five occupants in a Tata Sumo at Solapur-Maharashtra.
In a complaint, Sanjay Tukaram Parab of Ozari-Pernem told Pernem Police that the incident had taken place at midnight on May 21, when five unknown persons between the ages of 25-35 years confronted them at knife point. They robbed gold ornaments and cash of 60,000, all worth Rs 4.3 lakh, from the complainant and four other occupants in the Tata Sumo (GA-03-C-3726). The Pernem Police has registered the offence under Sections 395,427 IPC and PSI Vinaykumar Chodankar is investigating the case.
