PANJIM: The Dakshinayan Abhiyan at its meeting held in Margao condemned the brutal killing of the senior journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru.
In the death of Gauri, the nation has lost a committed and influential social reformer and votary of free thought and expression to the bullets of a hired and indoctrinated fundamentalist. Dakshinayan Abhiyan expresses grief and at the same time vows to work for upholding and propagating the values of secularism, democracy, free expression and scientific temper, says a press note issued by Datta Naik, Dakshinayan Abhiyan’s Goa president.
