MARGAO: Former chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Prashant Naik has cautioned the new chief Damu Naik not to make the Bhavan a place for political planning amidst the municipal elections.
He has also requested the chairman to put in efforts to make use of the annexe building by pursuing the matter with the Vigilance Department.
At a press briefing, Prashant welcomed the decision of the government to finally appoint a new chairman after a delay of 11 months.
Claiming that during his tenure he saved money and did not go on a witch hunt in removing old staff at the Ravindra Bhavan, Prashant advised the new chairman against removing the present staff.
On the annexe building which has is lying unused pending vigilance inquiry, Prashant said that it is a criminal waste of public funds for not using the building.
