CANACONA: Exhibits of the Danielle’s murder case will be sent to Hyderabad for forensic analysis.
Canacona police said that the exhibits of both the victim and the murder accused will be sent for forensic analysis to the forensic lab at Hyderabad by next week.
It may be recalled that the exhibits collected during the autopsy of the sexually assaulted and murdered Irish-British Danielle McLaughlin, 28, a backpacker, and the samples collected of the accused Vikat Baghat, during his medical examination will be sent to forensic lab for advanced analysis at Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the seven days police remand of Vikat is getting on Monday and thereafter he would be sent to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, sources from Danielle’s home town, Buncrana, Donegal, Ireland confirmed that her remains are flown in on Friday to Dublin, west Ireland.
Her mother Mrs Andrea was quoted as saying, “Danielle my eldest daughter amongst five had travelled to India to learn yoga, and the young woman was due to travel to Canada last September. I was not happy about her going to India this time. I would have preferred her to go to Canada, but she said ‘I don’t want to be anywhere else in the world other than India and that’s where I want to be’.”
Although Andrea said she wants justice, she did not want “an eye for an eye.”
