CANACONA: A 78-year-Danish national died after he reportedly suffered heart attack at Palolem beach.
According to reports, four foreign tourists were swimming in waist deep water when Erik Balslev collapsed in the water. Sensing danger, lifeguards rushed to the aid of the victim and brought Erik to the shore. As the victim was found unconscious, CPR was commenced immediately. He was rushed to Canacona PHC, where the doctors declared him dead.
Sources informed that the autopsy report revealed that the victim was a heart patient and this was also confirmed by Erik’s son.
