PANJIM: BJP’s Taleigao candidate Dattaprasad Naik on Thursday filed his nomination for the Taleigao seat while a group of supporters mainly opposition CCP councillors waited outside.
Emerging after filing his nomination papers Naik promised that he would take forward the IT park and help create over 1000 jobs for Goans.
“The IT Park should have been ready three years ago but was blocked due to vested interests. I will move this forward and help create 1000 jobs,” Dattaprasad Naik claimed.
Naik also sought to dismiss the impression that BJP was not giving tickets to the Bhandari Samaj saying that it had given tickets without caste considerations.
Naik’s supporters shouted slogans in support as soon as he filed his nomination papers.
