MARGAO: Will two-time Margao Municipal Councillor Dayanad Deulkar be the next Chairperson of the Margao Municipal Council.
Moments after incumbent Chairperson Arthur D’Silva was voted out of office in a no-trust motion, Deulkar told the media that the opposition group has taken a decision to support his candidature for the coveted post. “The opposition group has agreed to back my candidature. They will take a final call on the leadership issue,” he told the media in the presence of the group members, who later confirmed that the group will support Deulkar for the
top post.
