Deadline fixed for works

CANACONA: With the PWD (NH) planning to undertake hot-mixing of NH-17 from Gulem to Maxem (Loliem) from February 2014, all other agencies have been asked to lay their utilities, if any, before January 31, 2014.
The PWD, Canacona section, reportedly on instructions from the higher-ups addressed letters to other PWD sections like water supply, roads, besides Telecom Service providers to undertake and complete if any of their laying of utilities on NH-17 from Gulem if required before January 31, 2014, as hot-mixing sanctioned by the Central government will be taken up from February 2014.
The PWD (NH) further informed that no permissions for road digging/laying of utilities on the NH-17 from Gulem to Maxem will be granted beyond January 31 to avoid further damages to newly laid hot-mix layers.
