The State government has extended the validity of manual employment to June 30, 2019, giving more time to employment card holders to update details on the Labour & Employment’s portal www.goa-online.gov.in.
“In partial modification of the preamble notifications, the Government of Goa hereby extends validity of the existing manual valid Employment Cards further till June 30, 2019,” the notice states.
Earlier this year, the department had announced discontinuation of manual registration of employment card, stating that services rendered under Employment Exchange service manual related to registration, renewal, additional, submission and placement will be offered online. The first deadline was February 28, 2019 after which it was extended to April 30, 2019 with June 30 being the latest extension. A government official explained that once the procedures are completed, the Employment Card issued by the department, which would be generated through the online portal would be treated as Jobseekers/Employment Registration Card.
The ongoing manual registration of Jobseekers/Employments Card has thus been discontinued.
