PANJIM: The discussion on comparison of electricity charges between Power Minister Nilesh Cabral and Delhi Power Minister Satyendar Kumar Jain will be held at the Institute Menezes Braganza hall, here on Monday, July 26, at 3 pm.
Cabral on Friday told reporters that he had agreed for discussion with Delhi Power Minister over electricity charges between the two States particularly after Jain tweeted that he is visiting Goa.
He said that he had ignored Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman and MLA (Raghav Chadha), who he said, has created a mess causing water crisis in Delhi.
Cabral alleged that the AAP members were misleading the people of Goa by making false promises ahead of Assembly elections.
When asked why he is getting involved in discussion with AAP, who has no elected representative in the Goa Assembly, Cabral said, “I have to bring true facts before the people of Goa. I am accountable for people of Goa. When we are doing the best then why should I stand behind.”
The Power Minister also claimed that the State government has not increased power tariff for a long time.
