MARGAO: KRC employees have said that that decision to scrap the Sky Bus project by the Konkan Railway Corporation was not a wise decision.
President of the KTC Employees Union, Subhash Malgi, said the Union is not in favour of the KRC’s decision to scrap the Sky Bus project. “The project would have been financially viable if it was put in place after application of mind. The accident involving the Sky Bus during the trial seems to have cost the project. But such accidents do happen when you go in for such major projects”, he said.
Replying to a question, Malgi said that certain vested interests did not want the project to take shape since the project offered cheap mode of transport.
