You will see fields of farmers filled with construction debris from major projects, you will see lakhs of trees felled for highways, airports, and power plants. You will see miles of cashew trees destroyed, you will see mining tricks laden with ore from dumps illegally stored and illegally transported, you will see wounds on the bodies of protesting farmers beaten by the police for daring to stop iron-ore laden mining trucks spilling ore through their villages, you will see families from homes in extreme North Goa destroyed during cyclone Tauktae, still waiting to rebuild their homes and their lives. You will see families in mourning for the loss of their loved ones during COVID, you will see young seafarers who haven’t been called back to their ships, jobless now; you will see young chefs who cannot go to a hotel or restaurant to cook because they are shut, you will see COVID warriors, like nurses waiting for wages or regularisation of their jobs and you will young men and women ready to start businesses without capital.
In short, you will see the path to many futures that are blocked and need to be unblocked.
Protect the future of the youth and people will kiss your feet
If you want to be famous protect these youth and their future and people will kiss your feet. You will be revered and those who are unable to do this will be called frauds. This, one believes will be your duty and you will surely work towards this and spread this awareness above all.
This is because no one has the right to play with the future of your youth. Goa is full of young people who carry the hopes of Goa. They will all grow old. What kind of a future are we going to give them? That is what you must see.
This will be a very important journey for the future of Goa to see what a harmonious strong united Goa we have. But it is also a Goa whose youth want help and protection. If you do this right, Goa will be at your feet.
